Acoustic Spec

It is vital that a full acoustic specification is produced at design stage to ensure that both airborne and impact noise does not disturb the adjoining dwellings.
Unfortunately leaving this vital step out of the design process can lead to huge costs adding to a project at a later date due to the retrofit remedial works.

Sound Testing

Although there are two options in regard to compliance with Approved Document E, following the robust details can often be a more expensive option for the developer. Most developers will instead require pre -completion sound testing to demonstrate compliance to the Building Control Officer.
