Fire Engineered Strategy

Although Architects will design properties in line with BS 9999, BS 5839 and other associated legislation such as Approved Document B often larger residential blocks may need a fire engineers design in order to comply. The Engineer will take in to account Alarm systems, ventilation, travel time and distance amongst a long list of other factors to ensure that in the case of a fire that occupants have the best chance of escape or survival.
